Ready to kick off the new year with a gallop and some serious horsepower? The Wine Country Barrel Racers (WCBR) are hosting their much-anticipated New Year Jackpot event on January 1, 2025. If you’re a fan of barrel racing or just looking for an exciting way to spend New Year’s Day, this event at the California Ranch Company in Temecula Valley, California, is where you need to be!
What’s Happening?
This isn’t your average day at the ranch—it’s a full-throttle barrel racing showdown! The event is WCBRA-approved, meaning it’s a big deal for riders and spectators alike. Here’s what you can expect:
- Open Jackpot: The main event kicks off at noon. Riders will compete for cash prizes (amounts TBD), so expect to see some fast-paced action.
- Side Pots Galore: There’s something for everyone with categories like the WCBRA Futurity Side Pot ($35 entry), Novice Rider (for those with less than $500-lifetime earnings in barrels), Youth (17 and under), and Senior (50+).
- Exhibitions: Early risers can enjoy exhibition runs for just $5 each. These start before the main event and the exact times will be announced closer to the date.
