Temecula Valley Spotlight

Temecula, CA Community

Get ready to paint the town green, Temecula! St. Patrick’s Day 2025 is just around the corner, and this charming California city is gearing up for a celebration that’ll make the Irish proud. From eco-friendly parties to pub crawls that’ll have you dancing a jig, Temecula’s got something for everyone this March 17th.

Shamrock and Roll: Neighborhood Festivities

Killarneys Irish Pub: The OG of St. Paddy’s Day

Killarneys Irish Pub is pulling out all the stops for their 20th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parking Lot Festival. Starting at 10 AM and running until 1:30 AM, this shindig is not for the faint of heart. Expect a sea of green-clad revelers, pints of Guinness flowing like water, and enough Irish food to feed an army of leprechauns. Live music will keep the party going all day, with the Leprkhanz hitting the stage at 5 PM and Shockwave closing out the night with some toe-tapping tunes.

Old Town Blues Club: A Touch of Irish Soul

The Old Town Blues Club is channeling its inner Lucky Stone Irish Pub for the day. From 3 PM to 10 PM, this venue will be serving up Irish beers, live music from the “Ramblin’ Irishmen,” and enough craic to make you think you’ve been transported to Dublin. Just remember, it’s 21 and over only, so leave the wee ones at home for this one.

Green Drinks and Good Eats: Supporting Local Businesses

Wiens Family Cellars: Sipping Green

Who says St. Patrick’s Day is all about beer? Wiens Family Cellars hosts a St. Patrick’s Day Social & Happy Hour from 3 PM to 6 PM. Enjoy wine specials, live music with DJ Prophet, and a pop-up from Chef Lauren. It’s a classy way to celebrate the holiday without sacrificing any of the fun.

Lorimar Winery: Four Days of Irish Cheer

Can’t wait until the 17th? Lorimar Winery’s got you covered with a four-day St. Patrick’s Day weekend extravaganza from March 14th to 17th. They’re serving up festive menu items, beer specials, and live music on their patio. It’s the perfect spot to ease into the holiday spirit.

Cougar Vineyard and Winery: Corned Beef and Cabbage, Anyone?

For those craving traditional Irish fare, Cougar Vineyard and Winery is offering a $15 Corned Beef and Cabbage special from March 15th to 17th. They’re even throwing in green beer and sparkling wine for those who want to drink like the Irish (or at least how we think the Irish drink).

Maurice Car’rie Winery: A Toast to the Irish

On March 17th, Maurice Car’rie Winery is launching their 2022 Sauvignon Blanc. It might not be green, but it’s a great way to toast St. Patrick while enjoying some California sunshine.

DIY St. Paddy’s: Eco-Friendly Home Celebrations

Not up for the pub crawl scene? No worries! Here are some tips to bring the luck of the Irish to your own home while keeping things green (in more ways than one):

Decor That Doesn’t Cost the Earth

Skip the plastic decorations and opt for natural elements. Potted clovers make great centerpieces, and you can upcycle old wine bottles into vases by painting them various shades of green. Bonus: you get to drink the wine first. For research purposes, of course.

Sustainable Feast

Source local, organic ingredients for your St. Patrick’s Day feast. Temecula’s farmers’ markets are a great place to start. And remember, nothing says “Irish” quite like a hearty shepherd’s pie made with locally sourced lamb.

Green Energy

Set the mood with energy-efficient LED lights in festive green hues. For an extra touch of magic, use solar-powered or rechargeable lights. It’s like having tiny, eco-friendly leprechauns lighting up your space.

Eco-Friendly Libations

For your celebration, choose organic wines or locally brewed beers. Better yet, set up a DIY cocktail bar with fresh, organic ingredients. Green mojitos, anyone?

St. Patrick’s Day 2025 in Temecula is shaping up to be an unforgettable celebration of all things Irish. Whether you’re pub-hopping, wine-tasting, or hosting an eco-friendly bash at home, there’s no shortage of ways to get your green on. So grab your favorite shamrock-adorned outfit, practice your best Irish accent, and get ready to party like you’re on the Emerald Isle itself. Sláinte!
